Jharkhand State Government Skills Training Commences At OGM

OGM has welcomed the commencement of residential based vocational skills training in the field of construction for Jharkhand State Government sponsored trainees under SJKVY-II of JSDMS.

 

The first batch of Assistant Shuttering Carpentry Course commenced on December 3rd with the second batch of Assistant scaffolding systems scheduled to start in the second half of December. Additional training numbers will be incrementally introduced to maintain an average 200 at any given time.

 

  1. The Assistant Shuttering Carpentry course is of 390 hours duration comprising safety, core knowledge of carpentry tools and equipment, and their usage.
  2. The course includes 40 hours of mandatory soft skill training
  3. Pre-placement offer will be provided by our industry partner within one month of training.
  4. Trainees have come from various parts of Jharkhand including from Palamu and Garwa districts.

Prior to joining the RP Group of companies in 2012 as CEO of OGM, Peter held senior positions as an Australian Diplomat for fifteen years including as Minister Commercial in the Australian High Commission in New Delhi India covering trade and investment strategy across South Asia, as Australian Consul General Dubai and Senior Trade Commissioner Middle East and North Africa, and as Minister Commercial in the Australian Embassy in Seoul Korea, as well as multiple senior trade and investment roles in Japan.

 

Peter is passionate about global linkages of people and through his extensive business expertise has focused this into the area of skills and people development in both developed and developing markets.

 

Peter sees his role as identifying and nurturing opportunities amongst different countries, cultures and languages through business to deliver win-win outcomes for workers as well as for industry.

 

Peter holds a Masters of International Trade & Diplomacy (High Distinction) from Monash University and is a fluent Japanese language speaker.
