OGM India Successfully Completes The DDU-EY TOT

OGM Technical Institute India Pvt. Ltd in partnership with the approved RTO, University of Wollongong College from Australia has successfully completed the International Skills Training (IST) TVET Trainer course for the DDU-EY TOT project. OGM’s Internationally Certified Master Trainers have delivered the platform and domain training inlcyuding proving mentoring, for the entire project.

 

Following a successful tender submission, OGM India was awarded this contract to deliver the Indian Government Train the Trainer programs with International Certification through Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY). This project was oversighted by Ernst & Young (EY) and under Asian Development Bank (ADB) funding

 

The IST Training and Assessment courses which have been developed with Australian TVET expertise, are licensed by the Australian Government for delivery by quality Australian Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

 

The primary objective of this project is to improve the skills of the trainers to international levels, which is one of the core requirements if there is to be an improvement in the skills quality of those who graduate from vocational training institutions. This would then lead to the ultimate goal of increasing overseas placements.

Prior to joining the RP Group of companies in 2012 as CEO of OGM, Peter held senior positions as an Australian Diplomat for fifteen years including as Minister Commercial in the Australian High Commission in New Delhi India covering trade and investment strategy across South Asia, as Australian Consul General Dubai and Senior Trade Commissioner Middle East and North Africa, and as Minister Commercial in the Australian Embassy in Seoul Korea, as well as multiple senior trade and investment roles in Japan.

 

Peter is passionate about global linkages of people and through his extensive business expertise has focused this into the area of skills and people development in both developed and developing markets.

 

Peter sees his role as identifying and nurturing opportunities amongst different countries, cultures and languages through business to deliver win-win outcomes for workers as well as for industry.

 

Peter holds a Masters of International Trade & Diplomacy (High Distinction) from Monash University and is a fluent Japanese language speaker.
