Ms. Heather Thomas, English Language Centre Manager, UOW College, University of Wollongong visited the Hajr Technical Education and Training training centre in Dammam in November. Heather was greeted by the Hajr CEO, Engineer Mustafa Alghazal and his senior management discussing ways to further improve the partnership as well as future expansion plans in Saudi Arabia.
During her visit, Heather had the opportunity to review the implementation of the 3-month English Language course that is being delivered by Hajr in partnership with the UOWC, also providing feedback on the delivery by the Hajr English language instructors.

Prior to joining the RP Group of companies in 2012 as CEO of OGM, Peter held senior positions as an Australian Diplomat for fifteen years including as Minister Commercial in the Australian High Commission in New Delhi India covering trade and investment strategy across South Asia, as Australian Consul General Dubai and Senior Trade Commissioner Middle East and North Africa, and as Minister Commercial in the Australian Embassy in Seoul Korea, as well as multiple senior trade and investment roles in Japan.
Peter is passionate about global linkages of people and through his extensive business expertise has focused this into the area of skills and people development in both developed and developing markets.
Peter sees his role as identifying and nurturing opportunities amongst different countries, cultures and languages through business to deliver win-win outcomes for workers as well as for industry.
Peter holds a Masters of International Trade & Diplomacy (High Distinction) from Monash University and is a fluent Japanese language speaker.
